ABOUT US
MISSION STATEMENT
Pig Bowl’s mission is to provide safe family friendly events between our first responders. Fire and Law go head-to-head in various events to raise money that is donated to many local charities within the Sacramento region as well as pay tribute to the fallen officers and firefighters. Our mission is to bring the community together and help inspire others to get involved in their community and it gives our region a place to see a different side of our first responders.
VISION STATEMENT
To continue to make a positive impact within our community while inspiring others to get involved. Our goal is to donate over $150,000 in 2024 to many local nonprofits and through your generous support we look forward to making a positive impact within our Sacramento area.

Pig Bowl – Guns & Hoses Committee
The all-volunteer Pigbowl – Guns & Hoses Committee works tirelessly throughout the year to ensure we can put on a great event and donate as much money to our local charities while paying tribute to our fallen officers and fallen firefighters.

Cary Trzcinski
President of Pig Bowl - Retired Deputy Sacramento County Sheriff
Guns & Hoses, Retired Sacramento Sheriff’s Lieutenant Cary Trzcinski is the current Director and President of Pig bowl/Guns and Hoses. Lieutenant Cary Trzcinski played in 12 games and is the only player in history to score a touch down on offense and defense as he played running back and linebacker for the Hogs. Lieutenant Trzcinski’s passion for bridging the gap between law enforcement and the community was the driving force that enabled him to Co-found the Sheriffs Activities League (SAL). SAL is a non-profit organization that bridges the gap between law enforcement, kids and the community through sports and instructive activities.
Lieutenant Cary Trzcinski believes that Pig Bowl / Guns and Hoses is a great community event that raises thousands of dollars every year to assist local charities and honors the lives of our first responders who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

I’ve been apart of Pigbowl – Guns & Hoses since I was a kid and I’m proud to say we have 3 generations which has spanned 30+ years that have been apart of this wonderful organization. One of the many things I enjoy the most about this organization is how Pigbowl – Guns & Hoses has captivated and inspired so many people while focusing on donating money to our local charities. One of my favorite things is to talk with people and hear their stories about Pigbowl – Guns & Hoses and what it means to them. I love hearing how people have been inspired to continue the legacy of giving back to our community and of course the stories of those who have volunteered throughout the 50 years!
